WEEKEND UPDATE!
Yes, it's that time again. Monday afternoon when I finally have time to tell you about my weekend. Aren't you excited?
Friday Steve and I went to dinner with his parents, to see them before they left on their trip. We had dinner and went back to their house to watch Pirates of the Caribbean. They also gave us the souviners that they picked up for us in Minnesota while they were there for a PSA convention. They are awesome people!
Saturday Steve and I had been invited to a wedding, so we went to the Chaple On the Mountain and saw Stephanie Avery (a girld Steve had worked with at Sci-Quest) and Lance Mclaughlin get married. It was a sweet wedding. It was held in a tiny chaple that might seat about 40 people (if that many) with big stained glassed windows. I kind of got the idea that something went wrong, though. When the bride came in, we stood- as one is supposed to do at that time- but the preacher never told us to sit. So here we are, all standing during the ceremony. I also noticed that the preacher never asked them to light their unity candle. The whole ceremony lasted 8 minutes. We went from there to the reception site, which was at the Botanical Gardens Pavillion, and it wasn't even set up when we got there. I felt so bad! I suppose they didn't realize that the wedding wouldn't last that long, so they were scrambling to get everything done. It ended up looking really nice, but the wind was blowing things around like crazy. We didn't get to stay for very long because a bee flew up Steve's pants and stung him twice on the leg!!! Can you believe it? I laughted my head off, but not because he got stung. Just the thought of the bee flying into his pants was enough to kill me. I have to give him credit, though, he didn't freak out. He calmly told me that he was going to the bathroom to check out the stings and he calmly walked out and said we needed to go. He's such a trooper! Later of that day we went on a picnic to Green Mountain Nature Trail and we also went shopping. I had bought the new Sims 2 game, and we had to replace the video card in my computer because it wouldn't support the graphics. That night we had dinner with the gang and then I came home while Steve went to a movie with Greg. It was a great day. Steve and I hardly get to spend any time with one another these days, so it was like going out on a date! ; )
Sunday was busy too. We had the Note Burning ceremony at church to celebrate paying off the mortgage, and we also had a meal that afternoon. Since I am part of the hostess committee, I was downstairs cooking and decorating like a fiend. We finally got everything put together and it turned out great. I also had to get the scrapbook and bring it home to put in my first entry! Yay!
Remember when weekends used to be restful? When do I get a weekend from my weekend?

You know, a teeny part of me was a little disappointed that Ivan the Terrible wasn't as terrible as we thought he was going to be. I was curious to see what a hurricane was like. The rest of me, though, is content with the outcome. : )
I'm sitting here at work not doing anything today. We are super slow right now because people don't want to make plans this far in advance, but hey, I'm not complaining.
Yesterday I had to stop by Wal-Mart to get some glue and in the ramble around the store, I happened to pass the bread aisle, and it was completely stripped bare! I couldn't believe it!!! Why do people run out and buy bread at the first sign of bad weather? If someone can tell me, I'd appreciate it. I used to work at a grocery store and let me tell you, you see a whole new side of humanity during these "weather-related grocery store raids." People will tear your face off for a jug of milk or a loaf of bread. I even got yelled at once because there was only skim milk left in the case. A part of me hopes that the mean ones get home with their milk, and they have no power. That'll teach them to act like that!!!
We are going to dinner with Steve's parents tonight. They just got back from Wisconsin and they are about to leave on another trip out west, so we want to see them before they leave. We also have to buy a wedding gift for a wedding that's we're going to tomorrow. I can't believe that I forgot to do that before now! The main problem is that I have no idea where they are registered, so I'm just going to have to pick something at random and hope that it doesn't clash with their other stuff. What exactly is the etiquette on that? Do you not get them something if you don't know where they registered or do you get something and hope they can use it? Ah, who knows. I'm getting them something, though.
Well, I'm off! Have a great weekend!

I'm so freakin' tired. Why, oh why, isn't my work or school closed due to the hurricaine? Everything else is closed - other schools, businesses, even the Governor's office, but the Space and Rocket Center and UAH are still open. Darn them, darn them all to heck.
The reason for my tiredness? I got so busy last night that I forgot to set up my Mac workstation with printer and etc, so Steve and I get up at about midnight to do this. I needed to print some stuff from class, but while in the process of doing this I realized that the slightly different versions of my programs wreaked havoc with my design. I sat up until 2:00 this morning trying to fix these designs so that I could turn in the draft today. I am too old to stay up late!!!
Be proud of me, though! I went to the printing studio to work on my first project last night, and I got quite a bit of headway. 3 colors down, and about 3 to go. It took me four hours to do that much, so I'll be back in the studio on Friday night to see if I can finish it! Yay! I had never done a screenprint without the teacher there, but it went fairly smoothly. I didn't realize that it takes about 45 minutes to prepare to print, and about 5 minutes to actually do the printing. It was fun though.
I also had to get a tire fixed this morning because there were two nails stuck in it! I'm glad that it got fixed, because it drives a WHOLE lot better! : )

SIGH
The crossing guards hate me. For those of you that don't know, I live between an elementary school and a K-12 private school. When I get to the end of my street to turn on to the busier road, there is a crossing guard stationed to my right (in front of the elementary school) and to my left (at the intersection). I think they must have walkie talkies or something, because unless I leave at an ungodly hour of the morning to get to work, they block me in! It's insane. I'll look to my left and see a line of Hummers and BMWs, and what not, coming my way, while to my right everything is clear. When that line to my left finally clears, another line starts in from the right. Not only that, but each car is the exact distance apart to keep me from being able to squeeze in between lines! I can just hear those smug crossing guards talking into their Walkie-Talkies *static* "Red 5, this is Rebel Base. Rudolph the red nosed SUV is out. GO! GO! GO!".
Last night, my best laid plans were almost null. I went to school to prepare my screen for printing this week, and had Mr. Crouse not been there, I'd still be in that studio this morning. Here is how it works. You have to take your screen and coat it with photographic emulsion, which is the consistency of elmers glue. You take a long metal trough and fill it with this gluey stuff. Then you press it up against the screen and slide it up the screen, and according to the teacher this is supposed to leave an even, thin film behind. Well, I held the tough backwards and I got that emulsion everywhere. Not only that, but when I finally got the thing coated, and the teacher went in there with me to check on it, the excess stuff had oozed down the frame and pooled at the bottom, and when he picked it up, it got all over him. THEN you have to let it dry. THEN you take a piece of paper that is ultra-violet proof and slide it under the dry screen and put it all on this glass table and expose it to the UV light. THEN you take the screen, and where the paper was, you now have a soft spot that you have to hose clean. So you grab a garden hose with a sprayer attachment and hose that sucker down until the soft spot has been cleaned off. THEN you have to wait for the screen to dry again. THEN you draw a picture on your screen and once that is the way you like it, you can start printing. Apparently, I'm retarded when it comes to screen printing. I was only going to stay there an hour so I could swing by Target before going home and making dinner, but it took me two hours. I still went by Target to get some stuff, and then I went home. Steve had made dinner (awwwwwww.....) and after I ate, I was going to clean. That didn't happen either. I'm about to the point where I think the only way I'll get my house clean is to burn it down and build another one. Too bad I don't have the courage to be an arsonist!
Tonight I have class again (Graphics and Screenprinting) and I'm going to make myself clean the kitchen when I get home. Want to take bets on whether it will happen? ; )

WEEKEND UPDATE
This weekend was more full than it had a right to be. Friday I had school and work, of course, and after work I went to Rhonda and Lee's house to mow the lawn. I don't know what Mr. Lee put of the grass, but it's beautiful! I don't usually call grass beautiful because I believe it's just glorified weeds, but their grass is dark green, thick, and soft! I hated to cut it or even walk on it! : )
Saturday I had to work, of course, and then I went to the gym. I don't know if it's just me, or what, but I almost died on the Stair Master! Actually, it's my fault for not knowing what is considered a "level". I was punching in my weight (yikes) and it asked me what level I wanted to start at. I just randomly punched in a 6, because that sounded like a good middle number. Apparently I was at an advanced level that only people who are in reasonably good shape can get through without dying. I actually had to stop and hang on to the sides of the machine until I wasn't seeing spots. Then I turned the level down to 1 and was able to finish my time. I'm such a wimp. Also, just a word to those who don't know, walking down stairs after you've just put yourself through unusual amounts of physical activity, is hard. I almost fell down the stairs due to jelly-legs. How embarrassing would that be?! When I got back down to the locker room, I opened the door and lo and behold, there was a lady with her breast out feeding her baby sitting right there in the doorway. Now, don't get me wrong, breastfeeding your kids is fine, I just don't want to see it. I mean, come on, there is plenty of locker room available for you to do that in, must you sit in the doorway and do it? Jeez... I didn't know what to do! I just sort of ran past her. I wish I hadn't seen that. After I got home and ready again, we went to see Bill Engvall, the "Here's Your Sign" comedian. He was hilarious!!!!! I'd never seen a comedian in person before, and I really enjoyed it!
Sunday was just a weird day. I felt funny when I got up and while we were at church all I could think about was that I wanted to go home. I don't know what was wrong with me. I was at the point that I was almost in tears because I wanted to leave, but I have no idea why. I was able to make it through the service, but I practically ran out of the church and got into the Durango. Steve wanted to go to an Eagles picnic, and I hated to tell him I didn't want to go, so we went and had lunch and did a little bit of christmas shopping and went home. I was so glad to be home, and I didn't leave again for the rest of the day except to drive with Steve to get dinner. It was freaky. I hope that doesn't happen again.

IT'S OFFICIAL!!
I have a recipiant for the Kelly's Place first ever Bless Their Heart award. This award, given in the truest Southern Girl manner, will go to those unfortunates who I feel need a good dose of "Bless their heart!"
The first recipiant is a man we all know and love dearly, my own dear husband, Steve Pratt. Yesterday seemed to be a bad day for him both physically and mentally.
While leaving the Administrative Science building amidst the throng of short-sleeved-shirt-with-a-tie kind of guys (various geeks and nerds), Steve slipped on the top step and rolled all the way down, not only skinning his knuckes and elbow horribly, but also losing his papers and dignity as well. Apparently a Steve Urkel clone spoke up behind him and said "Don't worry, I did the same thing last semester." He bled quite badly in the car, but I'm happy to report that he is scabbed over nicely and only has a slight limp. We would all be happy to remind Steve with this advice: "That which does not kill us, usually makes people laugh at our expense."
All together now: BLESS HIS HEART!
As an addendum to that fiasco, last night he fell asleep while I was watching CSI. When it was over, I shook him and asked him to turn off the TV because the remote was on his bed side table. Apparently he was deep in a REM cycle, because no matter how I shook or patted, he wouldn't wake up. I finally got him to groggily wake up enough to say "What?" and I asked him to turn off the TV again. He turned over, picked up the alarm clock (said alarm clock is about a foot long and four inches tall, and stays plugged into the wall) and pointed it at the TV while pressing the "SNOOZE" button.
Once more with feeling: BLESS HIS HEART!!!
(karmic retrebution for this is going to be a bear, don't you think?)

How weird is this?
So, if you wanted, you could propose to your new girlfriend with your late wife?
If the size you are when your alive determines the size of the diamond you'll make, Steve's next girlfriend will be one lucky woman!
*wink*

PERSPECTIVE
I have a friend that I think is very wise, who shall remain nameless due to my reluctantly to give him a big head, who has recently discussed perspectives with me.
Today I had a first hand experience in how important it is to see things from a different perspective and I was greatly humbled. To explain this, I have to tell you something about myself that is isn't exactly flattering. Since before school started, I have been feeling sorry for myself. I have three 3 credit classes this semester, one on MWF at 8:00 in the morning and two from 2:30-8:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I work full time, and I have a home to take care of. That's a lot on my plate mentally, physically, and emotionally. I've been whining about how much there is to do and never enough time to do it in. Basically, I've been a huge baby about it. Today, I was talking to a girl in my Lit class and asked her how far she had gotten into Huck Finn. Her reply? "Well, not far. I have three classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays plus the ones on MWF, I work full time, I have two kids and they play sports." She didn't mention her home life, but I didn't see a wedding band, so I assumed she was a single mom, and that in its self has to be hard.
Listening to her, I realized how good I've got it. So if you've heard me whine, I'd like to apologize. I'm not saying that what I've got on my plate isn't hard or time consuming, but it isn't going to kill me.

Weekend Update + Monday!
Hello you! As usual, I didn't have a very exciting weekend, but I'm going to write about it anyways!
Friday after work, I went to the Elder Pratt's house to mow the lawn. It didn't seem to take that long, but I think it's because Mr. Lee is getting better and he had done a little bit before I got there. You know, I never thought I'd say this, but when he's better, I'm going to miss cutting their lawn! I wasn't feeling very well, so I pretty much just went home. Vanilla James was there because Steve was helping him install his stereo, so I hung out with them in between laundry and such. Steve took me to get dinner after that, and then blessed sleep!
Saturday I had to work. I was supposed to be there from 9-5, but we were SOOOOOOOOOO slow that I ended up leaving at 1:00. Steve and I had lunch together and then I went shopping. I was supposed to be looking for christmas gifts, but I was still feeling so bad that I couldn't concentrate on what I was doing. I finally just went home. Steve and the Fellas + Shannon went to dinner, and I had to miss it. : ( When he came home, he put on his new Knight Rider first season DVD (no kidding there. Oy). Maybe it's just me, but if I got in a car that said "Hello, Kelly." I'd probably not stay in the car for very long. I'd feel strains of "2001" playing in my head. "What are you doing, Dave? I cannot allow you to do that, Dave."
Sunday was just rough. I woke up still not feeling well, so I didn't go to church or my family's house. I hated that, because I had been looking forward to going out there. I didn't know if Steve was going to be able to go out there with me, and I was so out of it that I was afraid to drive. Allergies suck.
Today was the fisrt day of school, and it was the first day of my MWF class. It's at 8:00 in the morning, but I think that's going to be okay. There is mucho parking by the building, and it's only a 55 minute class, so it's no biggie. We have to begin reading "Huck Finn". I hope it's good. The teacher wasn't anything like I thought he'd be. He kind of reminded me of Steve in a way. He's a big guy, kind of messy. He seemed really nervous today, but he admitted he was. I think that he's going to be pretty cool.

I Smell a Rat....
Actually, it was a dead rat. We had an unfortunate little visitor here at work yesterday that apparently crawled behind the toilet to die. We kept smelling the horrible funk on one side of the trailer, but we had no idea what it was. We finally called custodial or maintenance and they found a decomposing rat in the bathroom. Ugh, it was so gross. I don't mean to be disgusting, but if a little rat can literally drive people out of a building, can you imagine if it had been a person dead back there? Yuck. The trailer still stinks today, but we've got some open windows and air fresheners. Hopefully the smell will go away soon!
Yesterday I got to be spontaneous! Steve had gone to Nashville to visit with a friend, and they had dinner at a new restaurant at the Opry Mills Mall, called Aquarium Cafe. Steve wanted me to see it, and we invited Josh and Anthony to go with us, and we took off after work to drive to Nashville to eat there. It's a restaurant with HUGE salt water aquariums in it full of all of these awesome fish, eels, and sharks. Apparently they had something like 6300 tropical fish when the place opened, but because the sharks keep eating them, they are down to about 2300. They have to add new ones every week or month so that there will be something other than the shark in there. The food was actually really good, but the service sucked. I honestly believe our waiter was new, but still. It was all I could do to keep Josh from completely going off on a manager, and thankfully he didn't. I seriously hate being around when people do that. It's embarrassing. It was completely deserved, but I didn't want to be there to see it. We also got to run through the mall near closing time, and then we drove home. I actually drove home from Tennessee! I've never done that before! Steve had to get us through some road construction and all, but after we got back to the interstate, I drove the rest of the way. I hate 18 wheelers, by the way.
Tonight I will be mowing the other Pratt's yard, and tomorrow will be an all day work day.
Monday school starts, and I'm not ready! I have three classes: Printmaking with Screenprinting; Graphic Design II; and Survey of American Lit. I can't believe that I haven't gotten all of my basics out of the way yet, but after this lit class, I only have my math, and then I can focus solely on my major and minor. I'm never going to get out of school. This is very frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of the Amish...
Does anyone else watch the show "Amish in the City"? I usually HATEHATEHATE reality shows, but this one is kind of interesting. They've taken 5 Amish young adults on Rumspringa and put them in a "Real World" type situation. It's kind of funny, because you can see that they are completely out of their element on some things, but then you see one of the Amish girls getting her belly button pierced. I wonder how many of them will go back to the Amish and how many of them will leave. I'm under the impression that if they leave, they can never-ever go back. Are they shunned? Who knows. You should watch, if for no other reason than to hear their accents. : )

I'm feeling philosophical this morning.
I wonder what made me who I am? I mean, what things happened to me to make me feel and think the way I do? I realize that you are constantly being influenced by the things that happen in your life, and I can see where some specific things may have effected me, but there are some things that I don't have a clue about. It would be nice if you could have a book for your life and if you have a question about something, you could just look it up in the index and find out: 'OK, fear of African Snow Giraffes. Page 32. *flip, flip, flip, flip* OH! Saw movie when I was five where African Giraffes attacked a bus load of tourists. Huh, weird.' Ah, who knows.
Weekend Update!
Friday night we had a Teacher's Appreciation supper at church, and since I'm on the hostess committe I went in to help cook. I love working with those ladies in the kitchen! We have so much fun joking around. I felt kind of bad that more people didn't show up, but it was fun anyways. I also scored some left over chicken fingers, so that was good too! : )
Saturday I had to work, and then we went to Rhonda and Lee's house to work on the yard. It hadn't grown too much since there wasn't much rain, but I cut the front yard and the sides. We went to dinner with them at Casa Blanca (excellent Mexican food, by the way) and we went window shopping. Steve and I went to Target after we left because I had a major chocolate milk jones.
Sunday was church, of course, and then to my parent's for lunch. We also had a reception for our new Youth Pastor, Paul Whittfield, and his family. I'm excited that they are there now. They seem like really nice people, and we really needed someone there for our youth. Steve taught them for a while, but I couldn't do it. I completely suck at teaching anything, much less something as important as the bible. I used to teach children at church, but they stopped listening to me. I like to work behind the scenes much better. I also have tons of people asking me to join the choir, but I wish they would stop. I'm actually flattered that they think I can sing well enough, but I just don't want to be in the choir for several reasons, none of which anyone will listen too. SIGH. Oh yeah, and I'm also now the Church Historian, so I'll be archiving and recording everthing that goes on! How fun is that?!
Well, that's about it! Yeah, I don't lead a very exciting life... I think I say that every week! : )

I'm about to bad mouth a religion. If you have a weak stomach, please look away. If you are standing near me, walk a few feet away so that the lightning that hits me doesn't get you too.
This morning I was reading about a little girl who has a digestive disorder that makes it impossible for her to eat anything with wheat in it. Her family is catholic, and it was coming up to her first communion, which is a huge deal. Her mother went to the church and told the preist about her daughters disorder and asked if anything could be done about the communion wafer, which is made of wheat. The preist said no, because tradition says that the wafer must contain at least a small amount of non leavened wheat. Okay, fine, so the mom goes to a different church that allows rice wafers and took communion. The little girl had on her little white dress, and in her pictures, she looks so happy. Now, they find out that the church will not recognize her first communion because her wafer was made of rice instead of wheat.
Are you kidding me?!
The little girl could die from eating wheat or at least be in horrible pain from even a little bit in her system and you're telling me that the largest and one of the oldest oragnized religions is not going to allow her to be confirmed in their church because of what her communion wafer is made of? Oh, this burns me up. I can not believe that this could possible make the slightest amount of difference at all. The little girl wants to confirm her faith, which in my opinion is the seewtest and most pure thing a child can ever do, and the freaking flour used to make the communion wafer is going to keep it from being officially recognized? That's like telling a child in my church that they aren't saved because there was chlorine in the water that they were baptized in. That is completely unacceptable. How dare anyone do something so unfair, and hurtful. This is the most narrow minded, stupid thing I've ever had the misfortune to read about, and yet there are some freaking old guys in Italy that are deciding whether or not it can be recognized. Uh uh, no way. If I'm not mistaken, communion is a symbolic gesture, and in the Catholic church they belive in transubstatiation, or the actual change of the eucharist into the body of Christ. I mean, to me that means that it is the belief in something that makes it real, not what it's made out of. If it actually becomes the body of Christ, it could be a chicken McNugget and it could still be used if the right faith is in play. This just shows me why so many people are turning away from church these days. If a panel of old catholic guys can tell me whether or not I'm confirmed in their church or not, simply on the basis of flour, then I don't want to have anything to do with it.
I'm glad I'm baptist. We don't care what kind of flour it would be as long as we could eat it!

I'm not in a very good state of mind this morning, so forgive me my complaining.
Before I begin, though, I need a little prayer if you don't mind. I'd rather not explain why, so if we could just call it an unspoken request, I'd appreciate it.
My yogurt exploded on me this morning. Let me repeat that. My YOGURT exploded on me. You might be asking how that could happen, but I assure you I don't have any idea. Not only did I have yogurt on me, but when I tried to scrape the little foil thing off so that I could throw it away, the stuff landed on my desk instead of in the container. I'm boycotting yogurt for a few days.
There is a lady that works with me who has had a bad cough for about six months, I would guess. It's kind of a plegmy-underwater cough. Very pleasant. She swears it's the pollen and her allergies. I personally think it's her pack a day or more smoking habit. Call me crazy.
An incident in my office yesterday leads me to vent on a rather special kind of annoyance. The people who actively look for people to feel sorry for them. You know what I'm talking about. The people who talk about how bad their life is, or how unfair things are for them, or who talk about wanting to commit suicide. Most people jump right in and give them all the attention that they want. Now that I've seen the pattern, I don't say anything. It's just too predictable. You probably think I'm being horrible, but it's very obvious to me that they may feel a little down in the dumps, but that life isn't that bad for them. They just want attention, plain and simple. Trust me, when you try to give these people even the slighest bit of constructive advice on how to make things better, they don't listen. All they want is for you to focus on them and feed their demons. I'm not going to do it anymore. I can tell when people are really upset and when they are just being drama queens, so I'll just wait until they really have problems to try and help. One of the worst things in the world is to get all concerned about someone and realize that they just wanted attention.

You know you're getting old when doing something childish but funny, just starts seeming to be, well, just too childish. Sigh.
WEEKEND RECAP!
So, a whole lot of stuff went on this weekend. I bet you're just foaming at the mouth to hear about it too... heeheehee.
Friday was work, of course, and afterwards Steve and I went to his parent's house to mow the lawn and have dinner with them. We also stayed to watch Monk with them and it was so funny. You know, even though I love that show, and Tony Shaloub is a completely awesome actor, it makes me feel bad to laugh at a man with OCD. Call me crazy! My favorite part of the show? "Why are you making that face?" "We're in rough terrain. This is my rough terrain face." You really just have to know me and Steve to know why that is funny.
On Saturday, Steve, his parents, Grandma and I went to the Chattanooga aquarium and it was so fun! There were way too many people there to really get all the enjoyment out of it, but I love going to aquariums, so that was fine. The otters, my favorite, were asleep, but they were still cute. I found a snow globe with otters in it for my collection, so I was happy. After that we went to the IMAX theater and saw "NASCAR the Redneck Experience" oops, I mean, "NASCAR, the IMAX Experience". I'm not kidding here, I saw rednecks in IMAX. I never thought that day would come. Actually, the movie was pretty good. I have a whole new respect for the whole racing thing now that I know what is involved. However, not one minute of the movie made me want to go to a race. I actually committed a huge faux pas during the movie. They were showing a part where we were seeing the NASCAR announcer, who's name I think is Dale Waltrip or something like that, was doing his first race and his brother was winning and he was all excited, and then all of a sudden his face changed and he looked like he was going to cry and he said "Is Dale OK?", and I laughed. It just seemed like such a strange transition from elated to sad that I thought was so funny. I had no idea that I was watching a part of a race where Dale Earnhardt had been killed because they didn't show the car hit the wall. I felt so bad! I wouldn't have ever laughed if I had know what I was watching. I tried to clear my throat so that anyone who may have heard me would think that I had been coughing, but I don't know if it worked. It made me feel even worse when I realized that the people next to me were crying during that part. I'm so uncouth. I would never have laughed at someone being killed, especially someone people thought so much of. Ugg. After we left the theater, we went home and Steve and I fell asleep. It was a fun and interesting day!
Sunday was church, of course, and I sang in the morning service. I sang Steve's favorite hymn "It Is Well With My Soul." I love that song, and I love to sing it even more. It's just so powerful and it gives me chills. Everyone seems to enjoy it, but I'm afraid I sing it too often. Oh well, I went ahead and made a spreadsheet to keep up with what I sing so that I don't sing it too close to the last time I did it. I was going to sing "How Great Thou Art" but I haven't gotten the ending down right yet. Maybe next time. We also went to my parent's house for lunch and to evening service.
Tune in next monday for another WEEKEND RECAP! If you want to, I mean! : )

STARS FELL ON ALABAMA
But guess who STILL didn't get to see them? If you guessed me, you are correct! As everyone knows, there was supposed to be a meteor shower (something I've always wanted to see) last night. It was supposed to be most visible from 2:00am to dawn. I woke up around 4:00am and walked outside, and it was completely overcast and raining. The last couple of times there were meteor showers, it was raining here. : ( Oh well, maybe I will be able to see one another time.
STUPID CLOUDS!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello. My name is Kelly Pratt, and I'm addicted to Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale.
HELLO KELLY!
I'm not kidding! When Steve first bought me a bottle of Buffalo Rock ginger ale some months (if not years) ago, I didn't like it. It tasted kind of like a flat or watered down Coke. Although I normally love ginger ale, I never went out of my way to try and find this particular kind of ginger ale again. However, a couple of weeks ago we went on a Publix run and he picked up a box of it, and I've literally been hooked on it ever since. I don't know what it is about it, but I will be sitting here at work thinking about it, and no matter what I drink, it isn't satisfying until I can get home and get that stinkin' yellow and brown can. I even got up and went to the grocery store this morning so I could get some to take to work. I've been drinking one today, and I sat back to analyse the possible causes of my addiction, and I've decided that it's because it tingles when you drink it and it makes my stomach and throat warm. I know that sounds insane, but it's true. Of course, I'll probably find out a few weeks down the line that I'm having some kind of allergic reaction to it, but I'm going to enjoy it as long as I can!!! I'm guessing that it's just stronger than regular ginger ale, but it's like heroin with me now!!!!!! Well, I suppose I can place my relief in the fact that it ISN'T heroin, or they probably wouldn't let me have it at work. : )
To learn more about Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale, please go to your local library or you can conduct research on their website at www.buffalorock.com

I'm so angry.
I hate to be lied to. I hate to be lied to so much, and I don't care about what.
This morning I got a call from someone who lied to me, and I don't even know them, but apparently I'm just supposed to bend over backwards to make everything fine for these people who don't even have the decency to tell me the truth in the first place. Oh, and not only that, but apparently I also screwed up by not doing what these people wanted right away and making them have to call back more than once.
I HATE to be lied to.

Weekend Recap!
Who wants to hear about my weekend? You do? Well, here we go!
Friday marked my last day as the graphic department's intern. *sniff* I'm actually going to miss everyone up there a lot, although I don't think they believed me when I told them. Anyways, I did a voice over for the AC video that will be on the new Space Camp website, and that was fun. I didn't sound bad at all, except for the fact that I can't say the word "stars" without sounding really southern. We also had sushi, which was interesting, and Snicker Bar ice cream, which was fabulous. I'd never had sushi before, but Steve loves it, so I was determined to try it. I didn't like the seaweed wrappy thing, but everything else was fine. I was having to gut each peice before I ate it. That would be a great diet for me. Just wrap everything I eat in one of those seaweed things, and I'd leave it alone! : ) After I left work, I mowed Rhonda and Lee's yard, and Steve and I went to see Spiderman 2. I really enjoyed it, but the end made me mad. If you haven't seen the movie yet, just skip this part: I know that we are supposed to be glad that Mary Jane and Peter Parker finally get together, but she LEFT THE GUY AT THE ALTER!!!! You just don't do that. She knew she didn't want to marry him in the first place, so why embarrass him like that?! Geez. Anyways, that made me mad, and I don't care if we are supposed to be glad that they finally hooked up! I don't particularly feel sympathetic to people who treat other people like that. Granted, it was just a movie, though. : ) Actually, I found out later that he turns into a bad guy in the comics, so that made it easier to bear.
Saturday I had to work, but after that Shannon, Josh and I went to the mall to see Latonya's little boy in the "Back to School" fashion show. He was so cute. They also had the high school girls there modeling, and dang, I've never felt quite so short and dumpy as I did standing next to them. To make us feel better, Josh took us to the Godiva stand, which was right by the stage, and we ate chocolate in front of the models. I don't know about them, but it made ME feel better. Then we all got together later that evening and went to dinner and to Barnes and Noble. I don't know what it is about bookstores, but I can spend forever just walking around looking at stuff. Shannon and Greg stayed at the house later to watch "Hidalgo" which was surprisingly good, and then we watched a Chris Rock stand up show. Kenny and I talked about Chris Rock the other day, and I still stand by my opinion that he isn't that funny. In fact, after watching that show, I think he's less funny than I did before. : P
Sunday, of course, was church and we also went to my parent's house for lunch. Aunt Peggy, Uncle Ken, Janice and Danny came over and it was so nice to see them again. I don't know when the last time I saw Danny or Uncle Ken was, but I don't think I'd seen Janice and Peggy since last christmas, or maybe the christmas before that. It was a lot of fun. After church that night we had dinner with a bunch of people from church and then we went to see "The Village". I kind of felt a little gyped after it was over, but the more I've been thinking about it, the more brilliant it was. I love M. Night Shama-however you spell it. He's my most favorite movie director/writer ever!!!!
Well, that was it. very exciting! : )

E! Online News - "Bunny" Billboard Blown Away
I hate to sound like a prude, but where did out sense of modesty go? I'm not saying that I'd like to move back into the pre-sexual revolution days where everything that might even remotely questionable was banned or burned, but it seems like nowadays that very few people have any sense of decency anymore. I can't believe that I'm here preaching about this, since I'm a huge supporter of free speech, but sometimes you just have to step back and say "wait a minute, this is just too much!" In the story above, we have a fairly obvious breach in what I would consider acceptable advertising. I don't know about you, but if I were to be walking or driving down the street and saw what this billboard had on it, I'd probably run into something. You'll actually have to read the story to know what I'm talking about, because I know my mom reads this and I don't want to say it myself, but it's just ridiculous. To quote from the article, the director and star of the movie says this about the billboard: " "The billboard was designed for sophisticated people, who'd understand the aesthetic, the fact that there's subtext and complexity." Pardon me, but that's a load. There was nothing sophisticated about that picture. There was also nothing aesthetic or complex about it either. That dude is just trying to justify being a pervert. Some people can call it art or whatever, but let's call a spade a spade, it was as close to porn as one could get to outside of the internet! HOwever, to be fair about the situation, I'm really surprised that the board was taken down. That's at least good news.
People have this idea that everything in perfectly okay to do these days. They can say and do anything they want, no matter how disgusting or offensive, and no one should say anything. Does anyone have any idea how this is affecting children these days? Our society seems to believe that the kids growing up today are so desensitizing, but in reality, they are as impressionable as they always have been. Just because they can "ho-hum" sex and violence, doesn't mean it isn't affecting them. I mean think about it, we've got prepubescent girls dressing like street walkers, with their parents permission, and we have little boys talking about things knowledgeably that they shouldn't know about for years. You can't even see the Children's Choice Awards without seeing cleavage. It scares me to death what the world will be ike when these kids grow up. If God even lets us get that far. I mean think about it, there was another place written about where people just indulged in everything they wanted without worry. God leveled that place with fire and stuff. I can't help but feeling that we aren't that far behind.

My lunch was vile. I'm not kidding. I got one of those Lean Cusine chicken alfredo meals and it was gross. You know, there are only a few kinds of those dang frozen dinners that I like, but NO, I have to expirement and try new stuff. I mean, you can't just have some convenient chicken and noodles or rice, it has to be smothered in some kind of sauce that was probably created in a lab somewhere. It always sounds great, but once you realize that there is more sauce than anything else, it's totally not worth it. Now I'm eating a bag of M&Ms for lunch. Very nutritious. : )
I hope your chicken noodles were better than mine. Woofta.

Go here! This page belongs to my friend Jason Hatfield, the guy who I've been working with in the graphics department. It's basically his resume, but you can see the kind of stuff he does.
See, I told you he was talented!!!

Sex Toys Still Selling In The Valley
Huh? I don't mean to sound like a freak or anything, but why would they ban something like this? I mean, it's not like you can buy these kind of things off of a big display at Wal-Mart. At least I don't think so...

MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW (Well, not really a man, and not so much sorrow either)
How's this for irony? I've been having problems with my Blog since thursday evening. I've tried to post, but the status section says that "There Are Errors". Of course, when I try to click on the "detail" button, I get nothing. My computer blocks the pop-up window that gives me the info, and when I use the bypass of the pop-up killer, it still won't work. Well, I finally -FINALLY- found out that I didn't have enough webspace for everything I've got on my website, so I go in and clean out a ton of things and rearrange some stuff and the Blog from thursday, the Prozac ones, finally published! I was glad, because I was going to be able to make the entry I had been trying to put in since it screwed up. Well, yesterday, Steve had one of his "I need to build stuff and rearrange my computer" moments and he moved our network hub (or whatever let's me have internet access in the office) and now I don't have internet on my computer AND I don't remember what seemed so important to post! For the love of Pete... Now, I'm using Steve's computer in the man room. I'm sure he loves this.
Another irritating thing, is that I bought the first Mac software that I've ever purchased because part of the suite was a program I just found on Jason's computer at work called "GarageBand". It allows you to write you're own music and mix it. Well, I bought it, got it home, tried to install it and didn't realize (frankly because I didn't read the box close enough) that to install GarageBand, you have to have a DVD drive, and I don't have that on my laptop. Who knew that you would need both a CD drive and a DVD drive to install the same piece of software! Macs are confusing!!!!! SIGH. So when I get my internet access back so I can update my drivers and such, I will be able to install everything BUT what I bought the stinkin software for in the first place. Steve says there is a small chance that there may be a way to install it through the network or whatever, so here's to hoping! : )
On a lighter note, I am starting to understand how to use a few things in Photoshop that I didn't know I could do! See, I had a Photoshop project on Friday in Graphics and I couldn't concentrate on it. Part of the reason was that I was tired and had a headache, and the other part was that Jason was looking over my shoulder and he makes me nervous. I mean, he isn't scary or anything, but he's so freaking talented that I feel bad trying to do anything while he's watching because I know he could do it so much better. Don't worry, it's a self imposed shame, he didn't say anything. It's just intimidating!!! Anyways, I was fooling around with it last night and realized that it wasn't as hard as I thought, so I was able to make at least two versions of what I was supposed to do, so hopefully I will be able to send that to Roderick sometime this week.
Speaking of Graphics, this is my last week as an intern! I'm going to miss everyone up there so much! We always have fun, and I've learned a lot about politics while being up there. It's all very biased, but at least I'm getting it from both sides! : ) I haven't had much to do up there lately, but I've still enjoyed it. Oh well, I will also enjoy getting a couple of whole paychecks too!

I kept waking up last night dreaming there were spiders crawling on me. After a panic-driven, semi-concious search for a flashlight, I realized that I had been dreaming and could go back to sleep. However, the thought of spiders in my jammies made it difficult to relax. So today, Kelly=Sleepy.
Oooooh, yeah! We also finally were able to replace the CDR, so I can do some archiving of old letters that I found. It's pretty awesome, and fast!
To close here is a pretty funny, in my opinion anyways, verse from a card that has come to my attention:
Loveing you is beautiful,
Loveing you is great.
Please sneak away through my back door,
so you can still be the Dems candidate.
Quite personally though, I don't think an affair would hurt anyone's chances for being that! : )

John Kerry's Wife Tells Reporter To "Shove It"

Last night I saw a Trim Spa commercial with Anna Nicole Smith on it, and I noticed that even though she's lost a lot of weight, she's still a big framed woman. Steve said that she is the kind of woman that the phrase "Full Figured" was created for. So I said, "would you consider me "Full Figured" or just fat?" He says, "You're Kelly and I love you and you have a great personality."
Whahuh?!
This is the reason that men get smothered with pillows in their sleep!

Today has been quite the day for updating my blog, no?
I'm sitting at the switchboard again, because Karen is out sick. I wasn't sitting here earlier, but the girl who was up here got bored. Yay, bored!
I'm so hungry, I could eat a moose. Not a chocolate mousse, but an actual moose. A cold moose, even! I didn't bring lunch, so I've been subsisting off of vending machine stuff, and that is never good when you're really hungry!! Curses!
I have a crick in my neck that won't go away. I need a massage or something to make it leave. Maybe if I get someone from my office to punch me in the neck, it would go away. Well, probably not, but I'm sure they'd have fun trying. I'm sure a few of you wouldn't mind trying either! ; )
Well, I'm off like a dirty shirt.

10 Random Thoughts of the Day
10) I don't have a clue what made me think of him, but I dated this guy when I was a freshman in high school who was strange. We didn't date long, but any time I ever had another boyfriend or anything close, he was always calling me and acting like he liked me or whatever, trying to get be broken up with them. Once I broke it off with the guy, he acted like I didn't exist. He did this up until I was a senior. Talk about wanting what you can't have and not wanting what you can. What a fat head.
9) My hands are freezing this morning. I've even got on one of my Tim Burton-looking long sleeved shirts and I'm freezing.
8) Speaking of Tim Burton, what's with my hair lately? I've woken up for the past three days looking like a trans-gendered Edward ScissorHands!
7) We were going to Dragon Con this year, but since we got Rudolph, we are going to cancel that trip. That's okay, though. How many women in thongs and fairy wings can you really stand to look at two years in a row?
6) I'm totally going to Rome if I can save the money to do so. I just finished reading Angels and Demons, and I really want to see all of the things that he talked about. All of the real things anyway; Vatican City, the Bernini Statues, St. Peters Basillica, and etc. Okay, who wants to take bets on if I can actually do it? : )
5) My toe is alseep. Just my toe. How weird is that?
4) I almost ran over a Miata yesterday. Hey, it wasn't my fault, that car was tiny! I've really got to get used to driving and SUV! Oh, no...it's my first (and hopefully last) step towards being a Soccermom! NOOOOOO!!!!
3) I am going to be on my own AGAIN for dinner. Steve and his school...pah! ; ) You'd think he wanted to graduate or something.
2) My internship is almost at a close. My last day will be Aug 6th. SIGH. Farewell hands on learning about graphics for a while. : (
1) We sign for the car in the next two days. They'd better not add anything on, or Evil Kelly will make another appearance at a car dealership. They wouldn't like Evil Kelly.

Krispy Kreme introduces glazed doughnut frozen beverage - Jul. 21, 2004
Ugh....a glaze flavored drink? I am literally trying to fight the urge to throw up. Gross.

Well, here it is! Steve and I have been looking for a car that was more reliable than the Neon, and we think we've found on in this new Durango. OK, well, not exactly new. We got a great deal on a 2000 Dodge Durango that I've named Rudolph!
Yeah, I know. Shut up.
I've got to take it back to the dealer this morning to check on a couple of details, but so far it seems great! I've got to get used to driving a big vehicle. This is the fist car, since Goldzilla anyways, that wasn't tiny. Pray that I will not forget and take a bat-turn in it and fall over! : )

KELLY'S (B)LOG: Stardate...um...July 19th point two two seven
So I'm finally back at work, sitting in my cubie, and I thought I'd go ahead and fill everyone in on what I did on my summer vacation! : ) For the two weeks I was off from work, I actually cleaned like a mad fool. I tried to do one room a day, clean it and rearrange it if necessary, and make sure I threw away enything that we didn't need or want anymore. I was doing great until I got to my office. Now, if any of you had ever been in my office lately, you would know that it was the room where we put anything that remotely looked like a book or art supply, so it was beyond trashed. It took me three days to get it straightened enough to rearrange the big desk and move in the tall bookcase. I even alphabetized my novels! However, I didn't get completely done. The only thing I have to do now is clean off my computer desk and paint over the gesso splatters on the walls!
I also had lunch/dinner with Kenny on Tuesday, and had a great time. We met halfway at the Cracker Barrell in Cullman and afterwards walked around the downtown area. That place was a little spooky! There was no one around, it was like the movie Children of the Corn (without the corpses and murderous children, of course.) It was hot, but we took some pictures and talked, and I had a wonderful evening. He also liked his drawing, for anyone interested. : )
Wednesday we had some bad weather, and so for part of the day, me and both doggies were crouched in the hallway waiting for the tornado sirens to stop. Butler and Bear fell asleep, but I was lying in the floor waiting for the ceiling to come crashing down. I started to pray, and immediatly the song, "Eye is on the Sparrow" started running through my head, so I knew we'd be okay. After the weather cleared, I went to help out at our church dinner.
Saturday, as you know, I was in Six Flags. It was just as much fun as I thought it would be. It rained heavily until we got in the park, and we ended up standing in line for the first ride for about two hours. When we rode that one, we went to the next one that Steve wanted to ride and it also had a two hour wait, so we skipped that one to find another ride. They were all either closed, or the lines were so packed that we wouldn't have gotten to do much except stand in lines all day. We finally found a ride that seemed to be moving fairly quicky, and we stood in line for about half an hour. When we finally got to the front of the line, they stopped running it due to rain. We paid over $90 dollars and only got to ride one ride. It was so crowded and hot that even just being in the park was uncomfortable! Oh well, Steve, Josh and I still had a good time just hanging out.
Wow, my life is exciting, huh? : )

Can you believe it? I'm going to Six Flags this weekend. Me, going to Six Flags.
Let me give you a minute to dwell on this with the proper background information.
I don't like amusement parks, I don't like crowds and I don't like being hot.
Six Flags in Atlanta in July = amusement parks, crowds, and hot.
Since I was told that I was selfish because I don't go places that a certain husband of mine likes to go, I am going. I'm not selfish because I don't let him go, mind you. I'm selfish because I don't go with him. Even though he has other people to go with him who love to go to places like that so it's not like he'd be alone, I'm selfish because I don't like to go. He ignores all of the other things in our lives that I do, and decides I'm selfish because I don't like going to Six Flags.
Now granted, this is the place we were when we decided to date exclusively (aww), and it has some sentemental value as far as that goes. But come on.
Who knows, maybe I'll have fun.
Uh huh, yeah. Whee.

SIGH, Never Mind...
I didn't make it to Birmingham last night. No, it's not because I'm a coward, but because we had so much left to do in the house to get ready for the bug people AND Steve had made so many other plans for the rest of the weekend, we couldn't have gone and still gotten everything done. It's probably best though, because we were going out for dinner, and on the way out there I suddenly got sick and dizzy. I was like that until I was able to eat, so I don't know if I would have made it to B'ham anyways. Oh, well. Maybe I'll get another chance another time.
The phone company has turned off our call waiting and our area calling for some reason. I have to call my mom on my cell phone so that I don't add on a long distance charge! The funny thing is, we are still getting charged for it. Hmmmmmm, I may have to open a can if they don't rectify this situation! ; )
Well, we have a huge day of yard work planned for today. We had originally planned on going on a short vacation, but our plans fell through. So, since Steve is officially between jobs until monday, I'm going to take shameless advantage of him and his masculine physique and make him till and pull stuff up!
Until next time...

WHY DO I LET HIM TALK ME INTO STUFF?
Steve heard about this Rick and Bubba thing in Birmingham where you can audition to sing the national anthem. If you win, you are up against three other people from three other towns to sing the National Anthem at a Braves game. I'm terrified. I mean, I can sing in public, and I have on many occasions, but the thought of auditioning for anything scared me silly. This is one of the reasons I was never more active in the school theater. Anyways, I'm going to do this, so keep your fingers crossed that I don't make a fool of myself. The last time I sang the national anthem in public, it was at a hocky game. I did so badly that a hockey player from CANADA turned around and looked at me like I was hurting him. I'm meeting Steve after he gets off from work and we're heading down there. I'm glad I'm going to be busy all day or I'd never make it.
What am I thinking...

I got attacked by the water hose this morning! I was trying to fill up the wading pool for the dogs, and since I had put far out in the yard, the hose pipe wouldn't quite reach and so I tried to attach the sprayer thingie to it while it was running. Bad Idea.
I had such a great time yesterday. A friend of mine I don't get to see very often and I met for dinner and afterwards we walked around and just talked. It was awesome. I feel sorry for people who don't know my friends! I have so many wonderful ones. : )
Steve, Josh, and I are thinking of going to Dragon Con again this year. I'm excited! I haven't decided whether or not I'll dress up though. I have to see if I gave my Velma costume to GoodWill or not. : )
Once again, I promise to update the rest of my website as soon as I can!

Hey everyone! I'm sorry it's taking me so long to update my website. I have some great quotes from Amy McGee and the answer to my dark matter question from the official smartest man in the universe, Nelson Olinger. As soon as I have some time, I will put it all in, I promise! : )
Ciao!

Have you ever said something completely in the heat of a moment because you were ticked off, upset, or sad and then realize that you didn't mean it or shouldn't have said it? I've come to that realization quite recently. I don't know if the person in question has ever even read my blog or my website, and I don't know that even if they did an apology would help, but I would like to apologize anyways. Let's face it folks, I'm an emotional half-wit. I don't always think before I say stuff and I let both my imagination and my emotions get the best of me. That, coupled with my "what goes on the Blog stays on the Blog" mentality, sometimes I say things I wish I could take back later. So whether or not this will help, and maybe this is more of an apology to anyone who may have read the mean things I've said and not just him, I'm apologizing.
After looking back at some e-mails I sent to a friend of mine, giving advice on their relationship, I realized what a hypocrite (what, democrat? heehee, kidding) I've been. One of the things I stressed over all was that once a person reaches a certain point, they have to stop blaming everyone else in their lives for the problems they have and take responsibility for their own actions. This is something that I haven't been doing and I've blamed someone else for my lack of patience, sympathy, and vicious defense mechanisms. In reality, I let getting hurt once in my life make me a total basket case. Instead of learning from the incident and moving on, I've let it eat away at me until I am, in the immortal words of Ouizer (Steel Magnolia Reference), "Not as sweet as I used to be."
The person in question is Kevin, the guy I dated in high school who turned out to be gay. I have to admit, I was/have been very bitter about the whole relationship. Now granted, he did treat me kind of badly at times, and yes I was disappointed a lot, but I should have had the insight and dignity to move on myself rather than to sit there and take it over and over. In reality, I believe I was just as much to blame for the way things turned out as he was. At that point in my life I was terrified. I was about to graduate high school, all of my friends were scattering to the winds, I didn't have a clue what was going to happen to me in the future. When I met him, I thought to myself, "Here is something I can control, here is something that is constant. As long as I have this relationship, everything will be fine." When it turned out that it wasn't like that, I guess I short circuited. I used him as an unwitting life preserver, without ever asking him if it was okay, and when he didn't behave just like I thought he should, I became unreasonable. I let that disappointment settle into my mind for so long that instead of gaining any kind of knowledge that could help me live better in the future, I used it as an excuse to strike out at anyone who I felt was going to hurt me, whether or not they ever actually did. So, to Kevin I apologize for blaming you for my hangups and for being bitter about things that should have been fogiven and forgotten a long time ago. To anyone else that has been affected by my inability to take responsibility for my own behavior, I'm sorry for that, too.
You're probably wondering why I would ever write all of this in a public forum in front of God, Bob, and Han Solo. I suppose it comes down to publicly admitting to being wrong. Maybe it's a little embarrassing to air ones laundry and to have your business all online, but to me, it's the first step towards making it better. And making it better is what I want to do. : )

Williams-Sonoma | Registry List
OK, so Tori Spelling got married and registered at Williams-Sonoma? Wow. The above link will take you to her wedding registry. However, one has to ask themselves, she registered for all of this stuff but does she even know how to cook? A better question than that, though, is: have you seen how skinny she is? Does she even eat?

Ewwwwww. There is nothing worse than forgetting you have dirty dishes in your dishwasher, and reaching in to get something. Ugh. Not only were thy dirty, some of the dieshes had milk on them that was slowly starting to become self aware. Yuck.
I Well, it's the first day of my annual layoff, and I didn't have to get up for work this morning. I probably wold have slept a lot later, but I had to get up and let the dogs out. It's Bear's birthday today, so I have to sing to him when I let him out of the kennell. I can't believe my little fat hobbit is 1! Steve and I will have to get some hot dogs and treats so we can have a party. Hopefully we can get him to sit still long enough to make a couple of pictures.
We rented four DVDs this weekend. Wow, we're an exciting couple. Actually, I prefer to do that rather than to go out all of the time (yeah, I'm boring, what can I say). We rented The Italian Job, Secret Window (Johnny Depp *growl*), Broken Lizard's Club Dread, and Along Came Polly. All of them were pretty good movies, although I have to say that Secret Window was a little strange. I've read the novella, and somehow I find it hard to believe that the screenplay could have had a more violent ending than the Stephen King version. Of course, in a way, I liked the way the movie ended better, so I'm not complaining. : )
Steve also got it into his head to shoot off one of those big flower fireworks last night. He scared the dogs to death and I ran into the house thinking the neighbors would surley call the police. We find out later that they weren't even home. We should have set off another one! I miss firecrackers! : (
Anyways, I hope everyone had a great holiday!

If I don't watch out, I'm going to be in traction!
Last night, Steve and I were acting stupid, and his arm hit my hand, and I think I've either sprained my hand or something otherwise just as horrifying. It isn't broken, thank heaven, but it hurts like the devil. With falling lat week, and doing this yesterday, I'm going to need either a full body cast, or someone is going to have to get me one of those harnesses that little kids wear so I can't hurt myself anymore!
My layoff from work will be for the next couple of weeks, so I'll be doing some hard core house work and stuff. Our house has gotten so cluttered all over again. I hate that! Seriously, I've been trying my best to straighten up my office for a month or more, but once I get started, I get discouraged. There is just too much stuff in there! Now I have a little time, so I'm going to have to force myself to finish the job. Anyone want to do it for me? Please?
How many of you have seen that irritating Fanta commercial that they play before movies lately? You know, those four chicks in different colors singing "Wanna Fanta, doncha wanna..."? Well, thanks to Jason, I now have that song indelibly inked into my brain this weekend! Grrrrr. Somehow I'm going to have to plant the sure fire brain song that you can never get rid of "It's a Small World Afterall" in his head. This is war!

If you ever have any of that pesky self confidence you need to get rid of, just do what I did yesterday!
I went to the new Parkway Place Mall. It's a very posh place with stores like Abercrombe & Fitch (did I spell that right?) and Banana Republic, and Book Gallery etc. Anyway, all I wanted to do was to find a new top. Something cute, without a low neckline. Well, I don't usually go into any of these places in the mall to buy clothes, but I thought, what the hey*!
*Here is the hey...almost every store I went into basically catered to the young and anorexic. I'm not kidding. I actually thought I had wondered into the children's section of a place called "Hollisters" before I realized that there WASN'T a children's section. I couldn't believe it. I went into the GAP, and I saw all of these teeny people looking at stuff sized zero. ZERO, people! how can you be a size ZERO! Wouldn't that mean you didn't exist? I just passed on by places called Wet Seal and Buckle because I was just too scared my fragile facade of composure would crumble and they'd find me in a corner somewhere weeping. Now, I'm have my moments of hating how I look, just as everyone else does. But, I try not to let them get the best of me for the sheer reason that I don't want my size to rule my existance. However, it's almost a slap in the face to go into these places and basicly be shown that unless you are a size 0-10 you shouldn't be able to wear trendy, stylish clothes.
While I was slinking from place to place trying not to decimate displays of clothes with my obviously -at least by the designers standereds- monstrous frame, another lightbulb of unfairness went off in my head. I'm a 26 year old woman. I don't need to be able to wear a pleated mini-skirt that is cut up to the crotch, or a baby sized t-shirt that says something like "hottie" or "sexy" across the front (in fact, if you ever see me dressed like that in a situation where I was NOT hijacked by the Hilton Sisters and drugged, please, shoot me with a powerful tranquilizer gun and have an intervention session with me, I beg of you). However, what about all the young girls and women who do want to wear that stuff? Maybe they're overweight, maybe not even by much, but should that exclude them from being able to being able to wear things that fit in with their peers? It is so unfair! Now, granted, maybe a girl who weighs 300 pounds shouldn't be wearing a mini-skirt or a mid-drif top, but dangit, she should have the option! Or even better, why don't more stores geared towards adolesence have appropriate clothes for people over size 10 or 12? I know for a fact that there are young people who wear larger sizes than that. Why should they be forced to wear clothes that aren't "in style" because they are bigger than anyone else. Let's face it, when you're a teenager, you want to fit in. You want to look and dress like other people your age. Why should anyone in that age bracket have to wear clothes that are more appropriate for adults? Anyway, that's my rant for today.

You know what makes me mad? Some of you may not understand this, but one day you might.
You know when you go to buy a pair of jeans, and you think you're one size, so you go into the dressing room just to make sure and it turns out that you have to wear the next size up? That's frustrating. What is more frustrating is the original size you picked up is only just a little too small, so you COULD wear them, but only if you want to look like a hooker. Doggonit! >: [
I bought "God Bless the U.S.A to sing on Sunday. I'm not so sure it's a gospel song, but it was the only think patriotic that I could find!

You know who I really admire? J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter books. Now, I don't know if this is true, but someone once told me that she was a single mother working as a waitress when she decided to write the first book. She started out writing on napkins. Of course now, she's one of the wealthiest people in the world. It's not the wealth that impresses me so much (well, I mean it does a little, let's not be coy) but its the fact that she was able to sit down and create this character that people love so much. I have always wanted to be able to create something that people admire and enjoy. Writing would be great, but I have the attention span of a gopher, so it's hard for me to sit down and do that. I have great ideas, but I never seem to get to far when I start putting them on paper. Anyways, the new Harry Potter book is in the works now, and I'm excited about reading it! Maybe one day someone can say something similar about me! : )

I finished the book "Wicked" last night. Even though I knew how it would ultimately end, I still held out hope. It's strange, these books by Gregory Maguire. He tells the fairy tails from a different point of view, and so everything that happens has a different meaning. I mean, yeah, it's not real, but it makes me wonder about the other things we've always heard. Well, you know what they say, history is written by the winners.
I had a spider dream this morning. I dreamed I was helping to make a movie, and we all had to stay in this old house that we were filming in one night. We were all about to go to sleep when I looked up and spiders were crawling in from the windows in waves. I was terrified. They were the size of chipmunks. All I could think of was that if Steve was there, he would be freaking out. Then there was the momma spider, who looked like she was from the land of Mordor where the shadows lie. Of course, in the way dreams have of making you the hero, I found some bug spray and killed the suckers. I woke up feeling like stuff was crawling all over me. Ick.
I have a confession to make. Sunday night Steve and I went to Target to look for a special kind of ice cream he wanted to try. We couldn't find it, but I did find a pint-sized carton of the Purity Nutty Buddy ice cream that I love. After dinner, I took it out of the freezer, intending on only eating a little bit, and thirty or fourty minutes later I looked down and I had eaten the whole thing. I don't know where I could have possibly put a whole pint of ice cream in my body, but it was in there. I'm kind of ashamed at my lack of self control. Please throw spoons at me the next time you see me.

On Saturday night we went to see Dodgeball. It was so funny. At the beginning, I was afraid that it had been over-hyped and that it was going to suck because it was so slow. However, once they started playing the tournament with the Girl Scouts, it turned out to be hilarious. It had some of the best one-liners I've heard in a long time. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind a little bit of mindless, crude humor. : )
Also on Saturday, I actually witnessed a scene! I had to make an emergency shoe shopping trip to Target, and while I was waiting in line to check out, the guy in the line next to mone starts screaming at the cashier, "I DON'T CARE, JUST GIVE ME MY MONEY!!!!! IS THERE A MANAGER IN THE STORE?" I mean, he was screaming, and he knew everyone was looking at him. The guy behind him said something I didn't hear and moved his cart, and the screaming guy said "YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?! COME OVER HERE AND SAY IT TO MY FACE!!" By this time, everyone is quiet and looking at him and the guy is still making a scene, and the manager comes running out of the office and is apologizing to the guy saying "I'm sorry sir, it's my fault, you were waiting on me." Apparently that wasn't good enough, because he said something that made the manager get that "I'm putting up with you because I'm trying to make it better, but if I wasn't the manager of this store, I'd beat you to death with your own shoes" voice. She said that she would just have to void something and fix it and he could be on his way. Once again, that wasn't good enough, and he said something else smart to the manager. And with the cahones I've never heard a manager use to a customer she said "Look sir, either we fix this, or I void this entire order and you can get out of my store." As a customer service employee who is yelled and cursed at for things beyond my control, it was all I could do not to start whistling and cheering! I don't even know her name, but she's my temporary hero!
Oh yeah, did you know you can comment on my entries now? I found the the "Ctrl, Alt, Magic" button Jason talks about, and now you can tell me what you think about what I write. I don't have a clue what you might say, but you have the option to do it anyways! Woo-Hoo!

OK, I'm feeling much better now. After work, I promptly went to have my official "Something Bad Happened At Work" dinner (Krystals and chocolate) and it went far towards making me feel better. I hate to think I'm an emotional eater, but I make exceptions when it comes to Krystals! : ) I've also been reading my book, and I just finished updating my web site. I added a new rant and the homepage is changed. So go and peruse. I added a ton of funny quotes from Steve and Greg P. a while back, so make sure to read those too.
Sigh. I'm sorry to have seemed so fixated on getting that job for the past few days. It just seemed so perfect, you know? Darn it, I was good at it too. But that's besides the point. I didn't get it, but I still have a chance to be the intern and learn. God has a reason. It'd be nice to know what, but I don't think he owes me any explanations. ; ) Anyways, everytime I'm working on editing pictures, Jason helps me out and I learn something new. He's so awesome. : ) He also looks kind of like Jerry Lawler (for you wrestling fans out there) during the Andy Kaufman time frame.
You know earlier when I talked about falling and said I only twisted my wrist? I did more than that apparently. Since I had to walk quite a bit today, I realized that I must've sprained my wrist and my ankle! "so Kelly, how did you hurt yourself?" "Well, my flip-flops hydroplaned." How silly...

Yep, I as right. I didn't get the job. Sam said that the girl he chose would be graduating sooner than me, and she had a little more expirence on the software. Also, he said that because my main focus was more web design than graphics, they felt she was a better choice.
Um...what?
My main focus is and always has been graphics. The only reason that I even have a web design minor is A) because the college requires liberal arts stdents to have a minor and B)I figured that if I ever get a job in graphics, I may have to work on web stuff too. So I have no idea where that came from.
I'm still the intern (and now I have to work for the person who got the job instead of me) but I won't have as many graphics activities to do, which is sad, because that was the purpose of me asking for this internship in the first place.
Anyways, I suppose I was good enough to do the job for free, but not good enough to get paid for it. Funny, he never had anything but positive things to say about how I was doing.
I am extremely unhappy. Extremely.

Okay, so I fell down the stairs this morning. So that I don't have to retype everything again, here is an excerpt from an e-mail I sent this morning. Cut and Pasted, baby...
This morning I went outside to get food and water for the dogs. It had been raining pretty hard, so I dumped the water in the bucket on the already wet patio and went to walk back inside the garage. Apparently I stepped in the water I had just poured out and the bottom of my flip flops are worn down to a glassy smoothness (ergo, no tread) and I fell down the stairs! I know I must have looked ridiculous, with a bucket and my shoes all around me. It was the sheer grace of God that I didn't bust my head open on the shelf next to me, although I did end up with my head against it. I just sat there and cried, which made me feel even more silly. Well, I emerged from the event dirty and embarrassed for crying with nothing more than a twisted wrist. Next time I'll wear my sneakers. : )

: (
I don't believe that I'll be getting that job. I asked the HR lady if she had any news, and she said that the decision would be made tomorrow. Now, that may not sound negative to you, but that's because you don't work here. If they want someone for a position, they don't wait around this long. They would have contacted me sooner.
You know, I know I wanted it too much. Any time (and you can ask my family and husband) I look forward to something too much, I inevitably get screwed. Birthdays, proms, dates, vacations, and now jobs.
I was apparently just born under a bad sign.
Well, at least I already have a job in the call center. At least I'm not unemployed and getting checks from the state like before. I hate that.
Well, back to answering the phones.

"Snakes....why did it have to be snakes...."
Sorry, I was having an Indiana Jones moment.
Well, Mr. Lee got through surgery just fine yesterday. They found that he had a mass of some kind that looked kind of ugly, but it wasn't anything to worry about and they snapped up that and what they went in there for and now he's on the mend. He's got his morphine pump, so I'm sure that if he's in any pain, he really doesn't care! : ) Thanks for all the prayers! I'll be doing their yard work for him until he mends, so lets cross our finger that I don't run over anything important or run into his trees like I do at home. : )
I got another splinter! I have no idea where these are coming from, but I've been getting these little black splinters in my left hand over the past week, but I can't remember touching anything that would remotely give me a splinter. Also, I'm almost positive that I didn't have them when I went to bed. Darn splinter elves...
Steve bought me the book "Wicked" last night. It's a retelling about the Wizard of Oz, but from the point of view of the Wicked Witch of the West. It tells her origins and why she's so Wicked. It's pretty good so far, but kind of weird. I like the books by this author, someone Macguire. I read Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister which was a retelling of Cinderella from the point of view of one of the sisters. It was really good. I read it all in about 8 hours. I highly recommend it. I'm also excited to read the newest one "Mirror Mirror".
I know it's summer, but I'm excited to start looking for Christmas gifts! I try to have christmas shopping done by October or early November because I hate shopping at christmas time. People are mean and there is no goodwill towards men when you're holding the last Holiday barbie, and some soccermom is knocking you down to take it from your hands. I am the master of bargain shopping, too. My favorite thing to do is find name brand stuff for lesser prices at places like Marshalls and Ross and there are always things on websites that are on sale or special. I like to buy things people wouldn't normally get, so it's like a game for me and then everyone else get's great gifts! Woo-Hoo! I love shopping!
Anywho, I've still not heard about the job. I'm not taking this as a good sign, but until I hear one way or the other I'm not going to be satisfied. PRAY FOR ME!!!!!

Anticipation....
Antisi-pay-ay-shun
is making me late
Is keeping me waiting
So okay, does anyone else wish they were in Key West right now? No? Just me? : ) I've only been there once, but I loved it! When I was on my senior class trip, which was a cruise, one of our stops was Key West. I didn't get to see nearly enough of it, so I'm going to definately have to go back someday.
Oooh, yeah. Please say a prayer for Mr. Lee. He's having surgery today and will have quite the recovery to make. I'm not sure when he goes in, but I know he'd appreciate a prayer at any time today.
I read a story that freaked me out. Now, for those of you who know me and my reading taste, you know I read masses of Stephen King and the like. Well, I bought a "Best of Mysteries as chosen by Alfred Hitchcock" book. The book is a compilation of short stories that go from supernatural stuff to actual who-done-its. Well, I started reading one called "Flowers In Her Hair." It was a story about a young woman who goes to visit and get to know some of her mother's family in the Appalachain mountains. She hates it there and wants to leave, but the cousin persuades her to visit an "Aunt" before she goes. The cousin is completely in awe of the aunt because she "Keeps the family records, and has second sight, too." The old lady invites them inside, and the cousin asks her to show the woman all of the "records" which turns out to be a weird genology of birth's and deaths. When the people in the family die, she cross stitches a sampler for them. She also has this beautiful embroidered wreath that is made from the hair of the people who have died. All the time they were together, the old lady kept talking about how beautiful the young woman's red hair was. She kept saying she never knew anyone in the family with red hair. Well, before the woman leaves, the aunt gives her something to drink, and she gets sick. The cousin runs out to get her husband and their truck so that they can carry her to the doctor. Once she gets home, though, she realizes that the aunt will take good care of her, so she decides to wait till morning to go and get her. When she arrives back at the Aunt's house, the old lady is sitting there embroidering on the wreath with the girl's red hair and told her that the woman had died and says "Didn't I tell you I saw death on her?" She tells her that in the middle of the night the girl walked outside and fell into a ravine. The cousin knows that the old lady won't cut the hair of anyone living, so she wonders how an old lady could have climbed down the ravine and cut the girl's hair and climbed back up again, but because she is in such awe of her Aunt, she knows she must have found a way. She never asks any questions and leaves it at that. I don't have any clue why that storie freaked me out so bad, but I have the heebs just thinking about it!
Anyways, more to come later...

Some people just make me want to attempt to cut my own head off. Seriously.
THINGS I'M TIRED OF ON MONDAY JUNE 21, 2004:
I am so tired of talking to people who get mad because of things I couldn't possibly have anything to do with. I am tired of people calling in, asking me questions, and then telling me I'm wrong.
I'm tired of northern accents and thick, southern, Steel Magnolia accents. I'm also tired of all the people who can't speak english that well, but insist on having long drawn out conversations with me. I have a better ear for accents than most people, but come on.
I'm tired of people calling in well past the deadline and then asking me if it's ok if they are late. Of people who ask me if a flight time is okay, but when I say it's not they start to whine and say that that is their only option. THEN WHY ASK????????!!!!!
I'm tired of people not knowing that Adventure Travel and Space Camp are two seperate businesses and then explaining their travel woes with me. I'm tired of not being able to hear one call and turning up my headset to as high as it will go, only to have the next call be so loud that my ears bleed.
I'm tired of people who make the same jokes I've heard three billion times and me having to laugh Every. Dang. Time.
Now, I'm tired of whining about what I'm tired of, so I'll stop now.

BECAUSE IT'S NOT MY BUSINESS, THAT'S WHY.
I have a problem putting my nose where it doesn't belong. I was telling my dad about that last night, and he told me it might be a test of my will when I'm presented with ways to be nosey. That's a scary thought. I've never thought of it that way. I mean, it's not like I go through people's purses or stuff like that, but sometimes I feel compelled to find things out. I wish I wasn't like that. I don't like feeling that way, being compelled to know. Maybe I should join the FBI to use my powers for good and not evil. : )
I need to go shopping. Yeah, right, you're thinking. I need to get some new blue jeans and another pair of khakis. I also need to buy a father's day gift for my dad. Anyone have any ideas?

That's a scary thought. I've never thought of it that way. I mean, it's not like I go through people's purses or stuff like that, but sometimes I feel compelled to find things out. I wish I wasn't like that. I don't like feeling that way, being compelled to know. Maybe I should join the FBI to use my powers for good and not evil. : )

OK, so I found out why I couldn't sleep last night. I had bought some kind of drink that I thought was like gatorade, but just a different brand. I decided to drink it after I ate dinner, and it tasted kind of gross, so I slammed it down so that I wouldn't waste it. During my not-so-sleepy spell last night, I did some internet research on it and found out that it is LOADED with caffine. Apparently it's some kind of energy drink that you are supposed to use before you do a workout. The package did not say that! So I was awake from about 1:10-4:30 last night. I look like I've been folded, spindled, and mutilated (and feel like it too!).
Eeeeeeeeeeeshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Work, bad. Sleep, good.
This is me awake at 2:19 am. I can NOT sleep. Well, I actually slept for a while, but then I woke up at about 1:10am and am now wide awake. This is crazy. I've read everything I can think of on the internet, and I'm afraid I'll have to resort to playing computer chess again before I can go back to sleep. It's frustrating.
I had my interview for the graphics job today with Sam. The interview seemed to go well even though there wasn't an awful lot to say. When I became the intern, he found out about my work history and what I did and didn't know. I know I shouldn't feel this way, but I WANT this job so bad. Just from what he told me about it, it sounds like the perfect job for me. The main responsibility would be actually making the signs that are ordered, creating designs for them (unless they are from a template), some actual graphic design work when needed, and acting as support for the people in the department. I could work around my school schedule, and since it's not a customer service job, I could come in after hours and work without causing any problems or disrupting any schedules. I realize that it may not be in God's will for me to have it and knowing that is a struggle. Sometimes it's hard when you want something SO bad and you think that it's what SHOULD be going on in your life, when really it may be the worst thing to ever happen. At any rate, I hope it is God's will for me to have it, but if not I'll have to understand and deal with interning for the person who does get it. Just say a prayer for me.
Well, I can't think of anything else to write so early this morning, so I'm going to go fire up the iBook for a rousing game of chess. One of these days, I'm going to beat that dang computer! : )

Anybody other than me wish that Michael Moore would just find another country to live in? I'm all about having freedom of speech, but I'm pretty darn tired of hearing him complain about EVERYTHING. "Oh boo-hoo, I don't like the president, so I'm going to make an ass out of myself at the Oscars and then get mad because people didn't want to hear what I had to say." "Waaaaaaaah, my new movie about the president is getting an "R" rating, it's all about the right wing conservatives and their ability to censor free speech." "I don't care if anyone else likes what I have to say, I have the support of MOVIE STARS!" Oh please, if someone else doesn't kick this guy in his fat neck and shut him up, I may be forced to do it myself. What a peckerwood.
I have my interview for the graphics position today. This is such a great opportunity for me to learn. I have been praying about this since I knew it was opening and if it's God's will, I want the job. If it isn't, then I'm not interested. Say a prayer for me!
Last weekend we had our company picnic, and it was fun! I was there in the face-painting capacity, so I painted butterflies on most of the children there. After I was done with all the kids, some of the grown men came over and had their favorite sports team logo's painted on their faces. It was so funny. Even Steve got one. It's weird painting on faces with stubble! One of the things that was done at the picnic was door prizes, and I won 3 of them! I won tickets to the Chattanooga Aquarium, the Montgomery Zoo, and I also won the big prize of a gas grill and grilling tools! Woo-Hoo! Now I just have to learn how to grill and we'll be all set!
Oh yeah, before I forget, I'm an idiot. Yesterday I e-mailed the director of the graphics department (whom I intern for now, and would be working for if I got the job) and asked if it would be possible to get copies of the software we use. I even mentioned that I knew pirated software was illegal, but I didn't know if he had something I could install anyways. Well, of course he said no, and now I'm scared he will think I'm this big software theif and that I'm dishonest! I'm not! I don't know what I was thinking! Ugh.
You know, I've realized recently that I don't have a great deal to write about these days. No school drama, and very little else to talk about except cleaning and work. I hope you don't get bored reading about my summer life!

So, did anyone else boo-hoo while watching Nancy Regan say goodbye for the last time, or was it just me? You could tell how much she loved him, and that his dying broke her heart. IT was both so sweet, and so sad all at the same time. I hope we all have that kind of love in our lives.
Oh yeah, and right in the middle of all of this, like some weird Anamainiacs cameo was Scott Baio. I mean, huh?
I don't remember Regan as a president (other than the jelly bean thing) but he must've been a great man. Goodbye, Mr. Regan.

One of the hardest things about my job is to sound like a professional. For those of you who know me well, you know that it's hard for me to be serious for long stretches of time. Today I was reading a message board when my phone rang. I wanted to finish the post I was reading, but I still had to answer the phone. I tapped the release button right as I read something that was so unexpected and vulgar that I almost burst out laughing into the phone. It was all I could do! It's to hard to be an adult sometimes, you know?
Yesterday I left work at 12:00 and got some things done around the house. I was going to use the weedeater (that ended up being broken) so I had to siphon the gas from the big lawnmower into the smaller push mower and brave the wilds of the grass growing in front of our house. I ended up running over a rose bush (oops) and spraying myself liberally with grass and bugs in the process. I wish our weedeater worked, because there is still tall grass close to the walls, but at least our house doesn't look like those cars that sit in the yards of rednecks all hidden by grass with trees coming through them.
Speaking of trees. I went to a park yesterday to take a walk and I noticed that there was an abundance of Mimosa trees in bloom. I love those kinds of trees and Steve said he wanted one, so I found a teeny one growing near the path and pulled it up, roots and all. When I got to the end of the path, I saw a sign that said not to molest or remove any animals or plants, but I already pulled the tree up! It's now at home in it's own little happy pot just waiting to be set into the yard. I'm passionate about bringing plants from other places and putting them somewhere on our property, but I think from now on, I'll get them without breaking a rule.
I also baked a cake, painted my toenails, and washed dishes. I am very industrious when I have the time :).

Wow, we've been busy at work! For the past couple of days, we've been slammed with calls. It's almost like back in December when we were running a promotion!
Last weekend I had a great time. My friend Sara came up from Birmingham and we hung out on Saturday. I've forgotten how nice it is to have a girl to go shopping with. Later that night, Anthony came over and we all had a cook out with Steve's new Uber-Grill. We were all so tired that Sara fell asleep on our chair. I feel bad that I didn't get a chance to clean out the guest room, so I now have a project for this week. I'll try to keep it nice in case anyone else wants to come over and sleep! : )
Sunday was so busy! With church, going to my parent's house, and helping the serving comittee set up the kithen, I was exhausted by the end of the day. Steve had to take Butler to the emergency vet because he was limping really bad and we didn't think the regular vet would be open on memorial day. Well, Steve took him and he was gone so long that I decided to go to bed. I was in a DEEP sleep when the phone rang. It was Steve telling me he forgot his checkbook, so I'd need to bring it out there. I was not awake, and still in my pajamas.I got in the car and drove halfway there before I actually woke up. That was scary! When I got there, Butler was all spread out on the floor asleep because they had given him a shot to help his leg (he's sprained it). Steve had to drag that big lump of dog out the door because he was unconsious. I'd never seen anything like that before. When we got him home, he got on his feet and sort of wobbled to his kennel and crawled as deep into it as he could, still wearing the choke coller. Steve had to get in there and take it off of him so he wouldn't choke to death. Poor Schnuffer! Of course, after that we had tornadoes. I fell asleep during the warning. By that time I was so tired, I wouldn't have cared if I woke up in Oz itself.
I'm supposed to be off of work at noon today, and I'm GLAD!!! Let's hope no one has a crisis that keeps me from leaving!
I think I'm going to bake a cake today! Martha Stewart Beware!
